What guests say
8.5 / 10 · Very good on Booking.com, from 436 guest reviews
The Green Lantern Inn earns strong sentiment for its unbeatable walkable location between Carmel beach and downtown, genuinely charming cottage-style rooms, beautiful manicured gardens, and warm staff. However, recurring frustrations — particularly misleading breakfast listings on third-party platforms, limited and tight parking, and some rooms with low ceilings, no air conditioning, or noise issues — temper the experience for a meaningful number of guests.
