What guests say
8.6 / 10 · Very good on Booking.com, from 470 guest reviews
Carmel River Inn & Cottages earns consistently warm reviews for its picturesque riverside grounds, charming and clean cottages, and genuinely friendly staff, making it a standout retreat in the Carmel area. The main caveats are the lack of air conditioning (a real issue on hot days), pricing that some guests find steep, and a few minor maintenance niggles such as dated bathrooms, low shower pressure, and an inconsistent on-site food truck. Overall, the overwhelming majority of guests leave satisfied and eager to return.
