What guests say
9 / 10 · Wonderful on Booking.com, from 484 guest reviews
Island House Hotel earns overwhelmingly positive sentiment for its prime Mackinac Island location, stunning harbour views, well-maintained grounds, and warm, helpful staff. However, recurring complaints about small rooms (particularly sloped top-floor ceilings), the elevator stopping one floor short of the 4th floor, poor sound insulation between rooms, and pricing that some guests feel doesn't match the offering are genuine drawbacks worth weighing. Travellers who prioritise atmosphere, setting, and service over room size tend to leave delighted.
