What guests say
8.3 / 10 · Very good on Booking.com, from 417 guest reviews
The Shire Woodstock earns consistent praise for its prime walkable location, serene river setting, and charming fire pits — elements that give it a genuinely distinctive character among Woodstock accommodations. However, several guests flag it as overpriced for what is delivered, pointing to worn bathrooms, loud HVAC, unreliable Wi-Fi, ongoing renovation disruptions, and the absence of any on-site breakfast as recurring shortfalls. It is a comfortable and well-located base with real atmosphere, but guests should go in expecting a property still finding its footing rather than a fully polished experience.
