Shady Rest Motel is a well-maintained, exceptionally clean property with recently updated rooms and genuinely friendly staff, making it a solid choice for budget travellers. However, mattress quality is consistently noted as firm, bathrooms remain somewhat dated, and one guest felt the pricing didn't reflect value. The absence of breakfast is a drawback, though reviewers understand this is temporary due to recent damage.
