What guests say
8.1 / 10 · Very good on Booking.com, from 533 guest reviews
The Anchorage Motel earns consistent praise for its unbeatable walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor, clean rooms, and friendly staff, making it a practical base for exploring the area. However, nearly every reviewer flags the steep nightly rates as hard to justify for what is an ageing, no-frills motel with small rooms, worn furnishings, limited parking, and few modern amenities. Guests who prioritise location above all else tend to leave satisfied, while those expecting comfort or value commensurate with the price may feel underwhelmed.
