What guests say
8.1 / 10 · Very good on Booking.com, from 187 guest reviews
The Simsbury 1820 House wins consistent praise for its genuine colonial character, warm and attentive staff, and cosy atmosphere — including a fireplace lounge with 24-hour coffee and an evening wine hour. However, recurring frustrations around a packaged continental breakfast with woefully limited seating, loud and poorly controlled heating, extremely high beds, and a property that is beginning to show its age give pause at the price point. Guests who prioritise historic ambience and friendly service will likely enjoy the stay, but those expecting polished amenities commensurate with rates near $300 per night may come away underwhelmed.
