What guests say
8.3 / 10 · Very good on Booking.com, from 108 guest reviews
Desolation Hotel wins consistent praise for its stylish, high-quality rooms, premium amenities, and convenient location near Lake Tahoe's attractions, earning mostly 9/10 scores from guests. However, a recurring thread of complaints around malfunctioning amenities, noise from the restaurant above or neighbouring properties, and confusing in-room technology suggests the execution doesn't always match the upscale promise. Travellers willing to overlook occasional operational hiccups will find strong value in the design and facilities, but those paying top-tier prices may feel let down by inconsistencies.
