What guests say
7.9 / 10 · Good on Booking.com, from 2,152 guest reviews
The American Hotel earns consistently warm praise for its genuinely friendly staff — with receptionist Masuma singled out by multiple guests — its prime downtown LA location near Little Tokyo and the metro, and its strong value for money. It delivers well on the basics of a clean, affordable, well-located bunk, but falls short for travellers expecting private facilities or a quiet night.
