What guests say
8.7 / 10 · Very good on Booking.com, from 321 guest reviews
Hiouchi Motel earns consistently warm feedback for its clean, recently renovated rooms, genuinely friendly staff, and unbeatable position as a base for redwood forest exploration. The main gripes are practical rather than serious — a lack of dinner dining options requiring a drive to Crescent City, and a couple of guests who found the value slightly questionable. Overall sentiment across these reviews is strongly positive, with most guests describing it as a comfortable, peaceful and well-located stopover.
