What guests say
8.3 / 10 · Very good on Booking.com, from 980 guest reviews
Hotel Shattuck Plaza earns consistent praise for its unbeatable Berkeley location steps from BART, its warm and responsive staff, and its charming historic character. However, guests regularly flag street noise on Shattuck-facing rooms, ageing fixtures and carpets in need of renovation, cramped bathrooms with poorly designed sliding doors, and a price point that some feel isn't fully justified by the current condition of the property. Overall sentiment is positive but tempered by the sense that the hotel's grand bones deserve more thorough upkeep.
